Warm and soft goose down comforters will snuggle you in comfort

If you’re looking for goose down comforters, your on the right track, but there are still quality checks that you should look for. Goose down comforters should always pass the cleanliness test, for hypoallergenic reasons.

Look for high thread counts when you shop for down comforters, as it indicates how light and soft the comforter will be. The thread count is the number of threads that are contained in one square inch of fabric. The tightness of the weave also prevents leakage to the outside air and the little feathers from escaping.

Down comforters ‘downproofness’ is measured in millimeters. Lower numbers mean better down proofing. Make sure it passes an air porosity test, which defines how much air can pass through the fabric. This is also another way to measure its ‘downproofness’.

A goose down comforters quality is also established in their weight. You want the right warmth for your bedroom’s temperature, while maintaining the lightness of the material.
